| Chemical Laboratory knows that each client in the region
we serve has its own specific needs. The inherent nature
of each situation we encounter is complex, unique yet exciting,
and so is Chemical Laboratory!
By providing strong on-site support to existing plants
ranging from in-situ set-up of site laboratory to validitation
of system and/or equipment performance efficiency to joint
collaboration with support groupings to undertake major
projects, we can assist our clients develop and maintain
world class competitiveness.
Typical projects undertaken include but not limited to
the following experiences :-
POWER GENERATION SECTOR
 |
- In-situ laboratory set-up to monitor process feed
water quality to boiler units for commissioning procedures
- Flue gas measurement from furnaces and / or boiler
stacks, typically determined include Sox, Nox, Particulate
Matter, Temperature and Flue Gas Velocity in accordance
to local environmental legislation on Clean Air Regulations,
1989
- Environmental monitoring using High Volume Samplers
(HVS) for Total Suspended Particulate Matter & PM10
|
HOSPITAL /HEALTHCARE / HIGH-RISE BUILDING SECTOR

Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) measurement in hospitals and
/ or healthcare facilities including commercial high-rise
building. Typical measurement include Carbon Dioxide,
Carbon Monoxide. Formaldehyde, Ozone, Respirable Suspended
Particulate, Sulphur Dioxide, Nitrogen Oxides, Volatile
Organic Compounds, Biological Contaminants, Temperature,
Relative Humidity, Noise, etc.
Validation of High Volume Air Conditioning System (HVAC)
and the air reticulation ducting for sources of contamination
which can be a serious source of health risks. After all,
the HVAC system is an ideal breeding ground for dust,
micro-organisms and bacteria, mould and pollen. These
pathogenic contaminants enter the indoor climate through
the ventilation system and can have disastrous effects
on people's health.
AGRICULTURE SECTOR

Analysis on optimum soil matrix / composition and nutrient
balance with growth systems under Research & Development
Program in collaboration with local government agencies,
private investment foreign government funded research,
etc. Typical analysis include pH, Particle Size Distribution,
Bulk Density, Macro nutrients (TN, NH4, NO3, PO4, K),
Micro nutrient (Zn, Mo, Co, B, Cu, Mn, Ca, Mg, Fe, Al,
Ni, Na), Total Organic Carbon, Cation Exchange Capacity,
Exchangeable Cations (K, Mg, Ca), Loss on Ignition, etc.
Analysis on optimum water medium characteristic to sustain
growth system, typically involving determination of nutrients
such as Cations (NH4+, K+, Na+, Ca2+, Mg2+) & Anions
(No3-, Cl-, SO42-, HCO3-, PO4- & NO2-).
FOOD MICROBIOLOGICAL MONITORING PROGRAM

Continuous nationwide food quality monitoring program
(in-situ sampling & lab analysis) on daily basis along
the whole stretch of the North South Highway spanning
from Gurun to Machap Rest & Service Areas (RSAs) including
the Over Bridge Restaurant (OBR) at Sg. Buloh & Air
Keroh. A total of 29 RSAs were evaluated throughout the
exercise. Typical pathogens under surveillance include
Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella, Vibrio
spp, Pseudomonas aeroginosa and Enterobacteriaceae.
Other similar undertakings include coverage along the
Central Link Expressway plying the Kuala Lumpur International
Airport with 2 RSAa at Dengkil and Singapore-Malaysia
Second Link Highway with 2 RSAs at Tanjung Kupang &
Gelang Patah.
